Overview
The Dangerous Goods course trains participants in the handling, labelling, storage, transport and regulatory declaration of goods classified as dangerous. It aims to safeguard people, property and the environment in line with international regulations (ADR for road, IATA for air, IMDG for sea).
Course objectives:
- Identify dangerous goods by class (explosives, gases, flammable liquids, and so on).
- Know and apply the regulations in force (ADR, IATA, IMDG depending on the mode of transport).
- Pack, label and mark packages containing dangerous goods correctly.
- Complete the mandatory transport documents (dangerous goods declaration, safety data sheet, and so on).
- Adopt the right safety reflexes in the event of an incident or accident.
- Prevent the risks associated with handling and storing these products.
Entry requirements
- Able to read and understand safety instructions in French (or English for some international courses).
- Experience or basic knowledge of the transport/logistics sector is an advantage.
- Aged 18 or over (usually required for handling certain products).
- No specific qualification required, except for certifying or specialist courses (e.g. safety adviser).
