The basic training required to implement, monitor, and enforce preventive airport security measures.
Course Description
The training, followed by a minimum of six months of practical work experience guided by a qualified AVSEC supervisor, will give airport security personnel the basic training required to implement, monitor, and enforce preventive airport security measures, in accordance with locally approved programs.
Duration: 10 days
TARGET AUDIENCE
Airport security personnel with the primary responsibility for applying preventive aviation security measures at airports, as well as personnel of the same level from other aeronautical organizations responsible for support activities.
PREREQUISITES
Trainees must meet the following criteria:

1Successfully completed secondary education or an equivalent educational level.

2Proficiency in written and oral expression in the course’s language of instruction.
🎯 COURSE OBJECTIVES
Work and circulate safely within the airport
Communicate and cooperate with other airport services
Control the movement of people and vehicles
Guard vulnerable areas, facilities, and aircraft at the airport by conducting watches and patrols
Recognize weapons and explosive or incendiary devices
Inspect, screen, and search passengers and baggage
Respond to airport emergency situations.
